WHY DID YOU LEAVE MUSIC TO COACH?

This is the first question I’m often asked by women considering coaching with me.

Working in an industry I loved, surrounded by music and creativity, was a dream. If you’d told 15-year-old me I’d be working for major labels, a recording studio or selling my favourite band’s T-shirts, I wouldn’t have believed you.

But in 2022, after moving to LA, I couldn’t ignore a fire that had been burning in me. I could no longer stand by and watch women in music struggle. I saw incredible women fighting to make their mark, but I also saw how hard it was. The industry moves fast, but frustratingly progress for women hasn’t kept up.

When I was in music, I craved guidance, someone to help me cut through the noise and figure out my next step. But I never had that and I wasn’t alone. That’s what drew me to coaching. I wanted to be the support I’d always needed.

So, my take is this: I never left music. I’m still in it, just from a different angle. In fact, I feel more connected than ever because I hear women’s real-life experiences every day. I’m supporting them and helping them make real change.

Now, I’m starting to have the impact I longed for, helping amazing women in music shape careers that bring them joy, success, and the income they deserve. And I love what I do.
