OCTOBER IS ADHD AWARENESS MONTH

I’ve had the privilege of coaching incredible women in the music industry—many of whom were diagnosed later in life with ADHD or have long suspected they might have it but haven’t yet explored diagnosis. It’s no surprise that the creative, fast-paced world of music attracts so many brilliant neurodiverse minds.

In honour of ADHD Awareness Month, I’ve been deepening my understanding by undertaking specialised coaching training on ADHD with the amazing Sally Cater, accredited by the ICF.

This isn’t just a tick-box exercise for me; it’s about becoming a better coach for the women I serve, so I can truly understand their unique challenges and celebrate the strengths they bring to the table.

Untreated ADHD can have a significant impact—studies show it can lead to losing as much as 22 days of productivity each year, and adults with ADHD are more likely to face job instability. This highlights just how crucial understanding and support are.

I’m by no means an expert, and I know I still have so much to learn, but I’m fully invested in this journey of growth and understanding.

If you’re a woman in the music industry navigating neurodiversity, I’d love to connect with you. You’re not alone in this journey, and I’d be honoured to hear your story, learn more about your experiences and help support you. Contact me at sarah@sarahpagecoach.com
