LEARNING TO BETTER SUPPORT CLIENTS WITH ADHD
In recent months, I’ve been on a journey to become a better coach for clients with ADHD. Many of the incredible women I’ve coached either have a diagnosis, suspect they may have ADHD, or are beginning to explore the possibility. To support them in the best way possible, I wanted to deepen my understanding.
I’m excited to share that I’ve just completed the ADHD in Focus for Coaches course, which has been eye-opening and invaluable. To mark this milestone, I’d like to share a poem I wrote for my final presentation. It perfectly captures what this learning journey has meant to me!
Neurodivergence, a word once very unclear,
Now I see it with some knowledge more than fear.
ADHD is complex, unique for each mind,
With inattention, hyperactivity, or both combined.
It may not be a superpower, but it can affect,
Emotional regulation—something to inspect.
For coaching my clients, I’ve learned to adapt,
Understanding how their attention can shift or lapse.
With greater insight, I’m ready to guide,
Supporting each journey, right by their side.
I’m so grateful for this course, for helping me learn,
And I hope it’s a gateway for more women in music to turn.
I’m excited to apply these insights to better support my clients, especially the incredible women in music. If you’re a woman in music who wants support from a coach who is ADHD-aware, please contact me at: sarah@sarahpagecoach.com
